At TRAC, we recognize that promoting engineering careers among young people is vital for our future, which is why we eagerly support events that address this important topic. For the third year in a row, we have decided to support the Engineer of the Year 2024 selection as a silver partner. This initiative highlights the remarkable stories of Slovenian female engineers and inspires young people, especially girls, to pursue engineering careers.
In Slovenia, only one-third of STEM students are women, largely due to a lack of role models. Engineer of the Year tackles this challenge by showcasing ten exceptional female engineers each year, whose work and example inspire younger generations.
The project emphasizes the importance of innovation and the contributions of female engineers to technology, the economy, and society, while focusing on their personalities and potential to serve as role models.
As a silver partner, we are proud to support this initiative, which has been motivating young people to explore technical and scientific fields since 2012. Together, we are building a future where engineers are recognized as a cornerstone of progress.
